Rev. Deane Harrison | Senior Pastor

Pastor Deane has served as Senior Pastor of RBC since August 2014. Prior to his call as pastor, he served in various servant leadership roles at RBC, including associate pastor, deacon, youth director, and children’s worship director. Pastor Deane loves to spend time with his wife and ministry partner, Christi, and daughters, Hannah and Heidi. His desire is to instruct and encourage the church to be disciple makers as we follow Jesus and put His Great Commission into action. Preaching and teaching God’s Word is essential to this desire.

Pastor Deane completed his undergraduate education at North Greenville University. He earned a Master of Divinity from Liberty Theological Seminary. He also holds a Certificate in Church-Based Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Studies from Liberty Theological Seminary.

Rev. David Hyatt | Associate Pastor

Pastor David began his ministry as Associate Pastor in August 2020. Prior to his calling as Associate Pastor at RBC, Pastor David spent the better part of 20 years in children’s and youth ministry. Even though he still has a heart for students, in late 2018 God showed him that his life’s calling was changing. With his background as deacon, Celebrate Recovery Ministry Leader, Youth Pastor and supply preacher to several area churches, he has realized God is fine tuning his calling in the area of pastoral ministry. Pastor David’s life goal is to reach people with the gospel of Christ and make disciples. His first call is to love Christ with all his heart, mind and soul, followed by loving his wife Angela, 4 children and 3 grandchildren.

Rev. Karl Holloway | Missions & Outreach Pastor

Pastor Karl was called as RBC's Missions & Outreach Pastor in June 2025. Before assuming this critical pastoral role, he served RBC in several ministry positions of increasing responsibility. Since missions and outreach are at the core of what we do at RBC, Pastor Karl's strong desire to see the gospel shared and God's Kingdom advanced helps position RBC for great Kingdom impact. Pastor Karl is married to Jnana, and they have two children, Raga and Anand.

Pastor Karl is currently taking courses at Fruitland Baptist Bible College.

Rev. Engrum Johnson | Pastor Emeritus (2014-2019)

Rev. Johnson served in ministry for 50 years. For 20 of those years, he faithfully served as pastor of Rockvale until his retirement in 2014. He was married to his wife of many years, Lynn, who also is active at RBC. Pastor Johnson’s (P.J.) desire for RBC was that it will remain the spiritual anchor of our community, and will serve as a light house in order to show our community the way to Jesus Christ.

Pastor Johnson completed his undergraduate education at Furman University. He earned his Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Pastor Johnson served as Pastor Emeritus of Rockvale from his retirement in 2014 until his death in December 2019.

Johnny Buchanan

Johnny currently serves as Chairman of the Deacon body.

Larry Minyard

Larry currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Deacon body.

Doug Wintermute

Doug currently serves as the Secretary of the Deacon body.

Rick Peddicord
